Q: How often should I get my carpet professionally cleaned?
A: To maintain carpet beauty and condition, we recommend a professional cleaning at least every 6 months, but no less than once a year.
Q: Do I have to wait until it is dry to walk on the carpet?
A: The carpet may be walked on with clean feet while still damp. Traffic on carpet should be limited until completely dry.
Q: How long will it take for my carpet to dry?
A: Most carpet will dry within 4-6 hours. However, drying time depends on the length of time since last cleaning, humidity, and type of carpet. Use of Air conditioning will help to speed the drying process.
Q: Do carpet protectants (Scotchguard or Teflon) really work?
A: Yes. Carpet protectants help prevent spills from setting into the fibers of the carpet. Most new carpet comes with protectant already on it. However, protectant will wear off due to foot traffic, vacuuming and cleaning, etc. Therefore, it should be reapplied when carpet is cleaned.
Q: How long will it take to clean my rug?
A: Most rugs will be finished and ready for pickup or delivery within 5 to 10 days.
Q: Why should I have my air ducts cleaned?
A: Dust and other particles will build up over time. When your air conditioner or heating unit is operated, these particles can be circulated into the air you breathe. Cleaning the air ducts will remove these particles and also increase the efficiency of your unit.
Q: How does Ozone deodorize?
A: Ozone is a molecule composed of three atoms of oxygen. Two atoms of oxygen form the basic oxygen molecule, which is the oxygen we breathe that is essential for life. The third oxygen atom can detach from the ozone molecule, reattach to molecules of other substances and alter their chemical composition. It is this ability to react with other substances that makes ozone effective at removing odors. Large ozone machines cannot be used in occupied spaces! Smaller units can be run on a daily basis when spaces are occupied.
Q: Should I use powered carpet fresh products?
A: We do not suggest using these products. Often when deodorizing powder treated carpet is steam cleaned, a white powder residue remains. To remove this residue, many vacuuming trips and several steam cleanings are sometimes required.
Q: Can my carpet be salvaged after water damage?
A: Most of the time carpet and pad can be salvaged if extraction and treatment are done quickly and by professional technicians.
